You have attended our ramen class. Or perhaps you have heard great things about our event. Help us spread the words by joining our invitation-only Ramen Ambassador referral program.​

By joining our program, you will be able to refer your friends/family, company, customers/clients, colleagues, social followers, or web site visitors to sign up for our ramen classes. Once they sign up and complete the event, we will pay you referral fees.

Q. How much pay out will I get?
A. Pay-out is a percentage calculated based on the seat revenues that your referral pays. The percentage is as follows:
4%: if your lifetime cumulative referrals' seat revenues is $10,000 or less
7%: if your lifetime cumulative referrals' seat revenues is between $10,000 and $20,000
10%: if your lifetime cumulative referrals' seat revenues is $20,000 or more

Q. How will I be informed about my referral's booking?
A. Once they book, you will get an alert email with the referral's name and seat revenue.
You will also be able to login to a portal to review your referrals' booking and payout

Q. How will I receive the pay out?
A. Pay out is done via our partner Stripe. When you receive your onboarding email, you will also receive a secure link to set up the pay out. Stripe will ask you personal information (to comply with IRS) and link to your bank account. For security reasons, please notice that we do not retain or have any access to that information and your bank information. Once set up, expect pay out to be distributed within 2 business days after your referrals complete the event. You will also get an alert email when pay out is initiated.

Q. What kind of class bookings are eligible?
A. The following classes are eligible: (1) 2-hour/4-hour in-person ramen public classes, usually offered on weekends with no minimum guest count commitment (2) 2-hour/4-hour in-person ramen private events (3) online/virtual ramen classes. Please notice that any gift card purchases and gift card redemptions are ineligible. Referral fees are earned based on seat bookings only.

Q. My friend forgot to use my referral URL and booked directly via your site. Can I get compensated?
A. No. Your referrals must click the link that we assigned to you to be compensated.

Terms and Conditions

  • Pay out is based on the seat cost. It will not include other purchases such as (but not limited to) gyoza, apron, sake/teas tastings, booking fee and alcohol.

  • We reserve the right to change our program and pay out methods at any time.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your enrollment at any time.

  • We reserve the right to cancel the program at entirely without notice.

  • The Story of Ramen will not be paying or reimbursing any cost related to you promoting our offerings.

  • By participating in this program, you have agreed that you are not an employee or contractor at The Story of Ramen.

  • Referral program is open to US residents only.
